Merry Christmas!

Midnight.

It is Christmas morn and I, like many are wishing you the readers a special day today. I will be spending the day with family, as I already have on Christmas Eve. We watched the grandkids tear around, enjoyed a grand meal as well as shared in some great company and conversation.

There was laughter and smiles as the children opened presents and spread hugs around the room to everyone as fast as they spread wrapping paper. There was not one huge gift for anyone, but all the small treasures were gratefully received. Small things these days seems to be much more precious, I think.

Have a great day and I will be back on Monday!

  3. It was especially nice for Bob and me to spend Christmas Day with my brother and his family. I say especially nice because of the sparkle in the eyes of the little ones, my great nephew and great niece, as they gazed upon the tree bursting with presents. Kaleb and Anna's eyes sparkled as much or more than the lights on the Christmas tree. This was the first year that Bob and I spent Christmas Day with my brother and his family. The only thing that would have made the day perfect is if my stepdaughter, Stacey, and her boyfriend, Mike, could have spent the day with us as well.

Up until this year Bob and I have stayed home in order to spend as much of Christmas Day with Stacey as was possible. This year Stacey and Mike made plans to go to Mike's family's house for Christmas.

As you know by reading my blog, we celebrated Christmas with Stacey and Mike the day after Christmas. Although that was nice, it would have been much nicer for all of us (my brother and his family, Bob and I, and Stacey and Mike) to spend Christmas Day together.

It stopped snowing, by the way, but is it ever cold! Jack Frost is creating artwork on my front door, which I have attempted to photograph. I haven't been successful, yet.

I agree, the Holidays sure shouldn't be simply craziness!

  5. Belated is good, Robert. I get most of my notes and wishes for the season out after Christmas. I call them my "Epiphany Epistles!" It can make for more of a regular contact and I have lots of fun doing it too!

    Linda,
You Christmas sounds familiar. With my sisters it is always after Christmas - sometime! I loved your pics of the get together! Have a great New Year, and I'm looking forward to the next of your blogs!
